23/04/2016 – Easter Rising 1916: Workshop, Lecture & Debate to mark the centenary

A fantastic day of interactive events and a public lecture/debate facilitated and led by Dr Adrian Grant WIH&HS/University of Ulster. We got to see medals from the 1930s, hear about what life was like in the northwest in the 1910s and hear about the reaction to the rising in Inishowen and further afield. Thank you all so much for coming and special thanks to Donegal County Council, The Department of Arts Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Environment Community and Local Government, the staff of The Exchange, our committee members, volunteers and anyone who helped out in any way (full schedule available here):
