On January 27, 2017 by admin

Earlier today WIH&HS Committee members attended a fantastic Mayor’s lunch (Guildhall: Derry~Londonderry) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the liner SS Laurentic at the mouth of Lough Swilly on the afternoon of 27 January 1917. The second part of the commemoration featured a recreation of  the historic image taken of Laurentic survivors who were hosted at a reception in the Guildhall in 1917.
